Raw materials
Fly ash bricks are made from a combination of fly ash, lime, cement, and gypsum. Fly ash is usually a by-product of coal-fired power stations and is a broadly consistent source, meaning that it can be easily sourced. The lime, cement, and gypsum provide a binding agent to the bricks. Fly ash bricks are an eco-friendly substitute for traditional clayish red bricks.
